Fasig-Tipton Announces Florida Sale Date

Fasig-Tipton will hold its Florida Sale of 2-year-olds in training for the second year at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday, Mar. 2, 2016, it announced Friday. The under-tack show will be conducted on the local main track Monday, Feb. 29. “We had an outstanding inaugural sale at Gulfstream Park earlier this year, and we look forward to building on that momentum,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “It is rewarding to see a graduate of the quality of GI Del Mar Futurity winner Nyquist (Uncle Mo) come out of the first catalogue there.” Browning added, “The facilities at Gulfstream Park, the location and timing are a perfect fit for the highest-averaging 2-year-old sale in North America. In 2016, we will immediately follow one of the biggest stakes days on the racing calendar, with the G2 Fountain of Youth and the G2 Davona Dale among six graded stakes run there on the Saturday before the sale. It all makes for a very special event for the Thoroughbred industry.” Nominations for the Florida Sale are now being accepted.
